Traveling to Philadelphia

Airport Information

There are several airports that serve the Philadelphia region

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

PHL is the primary airport serving the Philadelphia area and is the most convenient option if your destination is the city or surrounding suburbs. The airport is just 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia, and you can easily reach the city via taxis, rideshares, or public transportation.

To get to the conference venue in Langhorne, you have several options:

  • Rent a car or take a taxi or Uber. It is about 35 miles, which typically takes 40 to 50 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Take the train. Take the SEPTA Airport Line to Center City, then transfer to the Trenton Line, which has a stop at Langhorne Station.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

While EWR is located in New Jersey, it’s about 75 miles north of Philadelphia and offers a larger selection of international flights. This airport can be a good choice if you’re flying from overseas or need more flight options. You can take Amtrak or NJ Transit trains directly from Newark to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, making the journey in about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Drive directly to Langhorne in about 1-1.5 hours, or take an Amtrak or NJ Transit train from Newark to Trenton, then transfer to the SEPTA Trenton Line towards Langhorne.

Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE)

About 65 miles north of Philadelphia, ABE is another regional airport. While it’s smaller and offers fewer flight options, it’s worth considering if you’re coming from a connecting hub or need a quieter airport.

To get to Langhorne, renting a car is the best option, with a drive time of approximately 1-1.5 hours.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI)

Though located further away, about 100 miles south of Philadelphia, BWI can be a viable option for travelers who find better flight deals or connections there. Drive from BWI to Langhorne, which will take around 2-2.5 hours. Alternatively, take an Amtrak train from BWI to Philadelphia, then transfer to the SEPTA Trenton Line to Langhorne.
